Integrity and family are at the heart of Miami-based Icon Equity, and its business roots run deep. Guilherme Ribeiro and his wife, Claudia, founded Icon Equity in 2015, after spending many years, helping to run their family businesses, in their native home of Brazil. Between the two of them, there’s a combined 30 years of experience in Finance Management, Project Management and Hotel and Hospitality Management.
One might say Entrepreneurship is in their blood. Guilherme, who specialized in Finance Management when he graduated from Business School in Brazil, shared his talents with the family, and honed his skills in his family’s Heavy Construction Business, the beginnings of a big enterprise, that eventually would include Cemeteries Traffic Management, Bio Fuel Production and Real Estate Development, among other entities, that employed 3,000 people and generated over 100-million dollars in sales.
Inspired by her family’s business interests, Claudia attended Business School for Hospitality in Brazil. That blended well with her family’s businesses in the Hotel and Hospitality industries. Among other responsibilities, Claudia helped to manage an exclusive boutique hotel. Following her family’s lead, Claudia also spread her wings into Real Estate Development, helping to bolster the family’s bottom line.
Like many, Guilherme and Claudia Ribeiro moved to the states, with a burning desire to expand their horizons and build the next chapters of their lives. They believe that learning and gaining new experiences are the best ways to achieve personal growth and inspire their children, along the way. And of course, business is a big part of that picture, for this enterprising family. This power couple’s combined business sense and experience, gained in their native land, along with their unstoppable thirst for success and clear determination, are now setting the wheels in motion, for building and growing their Icon Equity businesses. It’s all part of the family’s vision, to create a legacy filled with love and success.
